The RUS sleeper layer is a highly dedicated tool to grab and position sleepers at a specified range according to the requirements and easily adjusted. The sleepers are clamped together at their center at the same time by hydraulic grippers and then laid into the ballast bed. This saves time compared to placing the sleepers individually. Nearly all types of waisted sleepers can be clamped securely, even at pressure drops thanks to a special integrated holding valve. The traverse arms are made of highly robust HARDOX quality steel.
The RUS2 sleeper layer is also dedicated to the clamping and positioning of nearly all types of waisted sleepers, but this tool is clamping the sleepers at the ends instead of the center. The gripping arms are also made of highly robust HARDOX quality steel.
Both versions are ideally used in combination with a NOX-Tiltrotator to be able to fully exploit the flexibility of the tool.
RUS available for excavators with 12 to 24t / 26500 to 52800 lbs operating weight with a gripping range of 150 to 330 mm / 5.91 to 12.99 in for sleepers with a max. weight of 340 kg / 748 lbs per sleeper, a total length ranging from 1890 up to 3400 mm / 74.41 up to 133.86 in to clamp either 3, 4 or 6 sleepers.
RUS2 available for excavators with 12 to 24t / 26500 to 52800 lbs operating weight with a gripping range of 2400 to 2600 mm / 94.49 to 103.36 in for sleepers with a max. weight of 340 kg / 748 lbs per sleeper, a total length of 1900 or 2630 mm / 74.80 up to 103.54 in to clamp either 3 or 4 sleepers.
